How Their Story Began
Karen & Phillip like to joke that the first time they met was just like a Hallmark movie. Karen was taking a train back from New York to Lancaster after visiting her cousin for the weekend. The train made a stop in Philadelphia, and Phillip was looking to find a seat on his journey home. He saw Karen and thought “Ooh, a cute girl! Let me see if she’ll be willing to let me sit next to her.” And luckily, she said yes! They chatted the whole way back to Lancaster, and the trip absolutely flew by. She offered her phone number to him and gave him a giant hug, and the rest is history!

Their shared hobbies include video and board games, cooking, cars, and going on spontaneous adventures and car rides. They love spending time with each others’ friends and family, and enjoy entertaining for Penn State and Eagles football games, game nights, and holiday celebrations.

The Proposal
Karen tells us that Phillip is a bit of a hopeless romantic and likes to plan fun dates. So for the proposal, back they went to Philly to the train station where they first met! Phillip wanted to do something more private and involved Karen’s cousin. His best man was even there to take pictures.

The Wedding
Karen & Phillip will be getting married at West Willow United Methodist Church on July 16th, 2022. Their celebration will then be held at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square. They are both super excited for the first time that they see each other on their wedding day and want their families and friends to have the best time celebrating their love.

Karen & Phillip chose to have their session done in Hummelstown, where Phillip grew up. His father is an optometrist and owns a business in Hummelstown, so we got some shots in front of the office as well as around town.
