The last thing you should be doing on your wedding day is worrying about staying on schedule or where Uncle Rick is during family portraits.

Check out the most common fears we hear about when talking to potential Soul Focus couples.

Fear #1: WE’RE AWKWARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA.
Answer: Friends, mostly all of us feel this way; it’s totally normal to feel nervous in front of the camera, too. To alleviate this fear, we get to know you before we have you in front of our cameras. We want to feel like an old pair of friends who make you feel super comfortable, and we promise we will have so much fun together!

Fear #2: OUR FAMILIES CAN BE PRETTY ROWDY. HOW WILL YOU GET THEIR ATTENTION DURING FAMILY PHOTOS?
Answer: During the last couple of months leading up to your wedding, we’ll have you complete a questionnaire that includes listing your immediate family members and their names. We’ll create a list together to use during family portraits on the wedding day AND we’ll have our second photographer assist in gathering family and calling out each group. This helps us stay on track and we’ll make this part of the day fun, too! (We’ve been told we’re very efficient during family portraits!)

Fear #3: WHAT IF IT RAINS ON OUR WEDDING DAY?
Answer: No problem! In our past decade as wedding pros, we’ve captured weddings in the rain, wind, heat, and snow. We’ll adapt to any situation! If your wedding day is affected by inclement weather, we’ll look for pretty indoor options at your venue to do portraits in. We’ll also check the radar frequently for any breaks in the (rain) to see if we can pop outside for portraits.

Fear #4: HOW WILL WE STAY ON SCHEDULE THROUGHOUT THE DAY?
Answer: This is your wedding day and the last thing you should be doing is worrying about the schedule. All you need to do is take in the day and ENJOY every single moment. Upon booking, we will create a day-of timeline for you. It will help you to see what your day will look like centered around photography and/or videography. We’ll work with your other vendors to ensure we all stay on schedule. Teamwork makes the dream work! 

Fear #5: WE DON’T KNOW HOW TO POSE—AGAIN, WE’RE AWKWARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA!
Answer: We got you! After getting to know you and making sure you’re feeling comfortable, we’ll guide you into easy poses that are fun and create those joyful, genuine smiles. We will have you interact during each pose with various prompts like “Now walk hand-in-hand and bump hips together while you look at each other.”

Fear #6: WILL WE BE ABLE TO SEE WHAT A WEDDING PHOTO GALLERY LOOKS LIKE PRIOR TO BOOKING YOU?
Answer: Absolutely! We’ll send you a complete gallery so that you can become familiar with how the gallery works and how it’s beautifully organized.

Fear #7: WHAT HAPPENS IF AN EMERGENCY ARISES AND YOU ARE UNABLE TO MAKE IT TO OUR WEDDING?
Answer: We each include a second shooter in all of our collections. These talented friends of ours have been working alongside of us for years and know exactly how we work and the quality we strive to deliver (the experience and photos and videos). They would take our place in leading the day while we look for their replacements (second shooters for them).

Fear #8: WILL YOU HAVE BACK-UP EQUIPMENT WITH YOU ON OUR WEDDING DAY?
Answer: Definitely! We each have 2 or more cameras, lots of batteries, memory cards, and lighting, so if something happens to one of our cameras, we’re covered! We ask that our second shooters also have back-up equipment the day-of.
