Ryan and Alyssa met online using Match.com. Nowadays it seems like most couples are meeting this way! Their first date was to Arooga’s for wings. During their date they discovered their mutual link – Ryan is from Grove City, PA, which is where Alyssa’s sister attended college. They also found that they share a common interest in airplanes. Ryan works with them all day, and Alyssa’s grandfather owns a small airport in Myerstown.

Over the next couple of months they went to a lot of dinners together, Hershey Bears games, and even got to know each other a lot better by going on long hikes. They also spent an evening together at Disney on Ice.

They moved in together in January of 2015 and have been happy ever since!

A few months later in July, Ryan took Alyssa on a surprise vacation to the Poconos for her birthday. While they were hiking Bushkill Falls, Ryan stopped in front of a particular waterfall (later identified as Bridal Veil Falls), got down on one knee, and asked Alyssa to marry him. How perfect is that?!
